Coeur d'Alene's Classic Car Show Car d'Lane Turned 25

Coeur d'Alene's Classic Car Show Car d'Lane Turned 25

Car d'Lane celebrated it's 25th anniversary this past weekend. Classic cars and their owners descended on downtown Coeur d'Alene to show off their cars from around the Pacific Northwest.

Many of the spectators commented that they thought the Friday night cruise had more cars in it this year. As a spectator myself the cars did seem to keep coming.

Maybe it was the beautiful weather we have been having or there are just more people into classic cars.

Experts say that Generation X appreciates nostalgia, which would mean that there would be more people enjoying vintage automobiles. Personally I think it was a combination of both weather and more car owners. But lets be realistic...who can resist spending a weekend in beautiful Coeur d'Alene when they have the chance?

Save the Date in 2016

Whatever the reason, between the car owners and the spectators every business in downtown Coeur d'Alene had a busy night! Fun was had by all!

If you are a classic car owner or just want to enjoy the view mark your calendars for June 17th and 18th in 2016 for the 26th Annual Car d'Lane event.

Things to Consider:

1. Car Owners be sure to register for the event early so you reserve your spot. Watch this website for updates and to register when it opens. http://cdadowntown.com
2. Spectators, parking can be an issue on either day. Be sure to wear your walking shoes and plan ahead. (Maybe you come down early and get in some lake time, shopping or other recreation and stake out a parking spot early)
3. Be patient with the downtown restaurant staff. Things may arrive a bit slower, especially during the Friday night cruise.
4. Book your lodging a month or two ahead of time. (or since you know the dates, just book it now)

American Country Bed and Breakfast is happy to help you with suggestions on things to do in and around Coeur d'Alene! Our complimentary morning breakfast will get your motors running for an amazing trip
