Come For the Idaho Potatoes and the Lake But End Up Enjoying Some Wine

One thing that you may not know is Idaho is known for other things besides potatoes. One of those things is Idaho Wine.

Idaho is a small but growing wine region with the natural resources to sustain world-class vineyards and wineries stretching from North Idaho down 500 miles to the Snake River Valley.

The warm climate, well-drained soils and direct access to water sources provides Idaho the key ingredients for fruit-forward wines with good structure.

Leading Varietals:

Cabernet Sauvignon

Things to Consider:

1. Call ahead to the wineries to verify hours and to schedule a tour.
2. If you are flying you will need to put any wine you purchase in your checked baggage. Make sure you have a safe way to transport them.
3. When dining out at a Coeur d'Alene restaurant ask your server if they offer a selection of Idaho wines.
4. Our deck is the perfect place to enjoy any of the wines you purchase after your wine adventure.
