The Cellar in Downtown Coeur d'Alene Has New Owner and A New Menu
The hustle and bustle of summer in downtown Coeur d'Alene has ended, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a great place to visit. Downtown shops, art galleries and restaurants are ready to welcome you this holiday season and all the time. Especially one of the many fixtures in downtown The Cellar, (formerly The Wine Cellar), because they have some exciting news!
Adam Hegsted was the Chef at Brix when it first opened. Now seven years later, numerous national awards, and several restaurants later, Hegsted is back. This time though, he is not just the chef he's the owner!
Hegsted has revamped the menu toward shared plates. Bites and Tastes are priced per piece: bacon-wrapped dates, jalapeño poppers, salt-roasted escargot ($2 each) or sockeye salmon cakes ($3). Order dishes like baby kale with shaved celery and candied lemon ($6/$12), charcuterie ($5/$18), bouillabaisse ($8/$12) as half or full plates.
Along with the new menu items several new specials will be offered including: Pints & Pies (pizza and beer, $10), Drink Your Glass Off ($5 wine, $20 house bottle), Taco Tuesdays, a daily happy hour from 2-6 pm.
Live music, which has always been popular, will be continued. So get on your toe tapping shoes and check out the new menu!
